Development and Evaluation of Generative AI- Powered Intelligent Tutors within the Medimon Musculoskeletal Module

This project integrates generative AI–powered intelligent tutors into the Medimon platform to support adaptive, inquiry-based learning within the first-year Muscles, Joints, Bone, and Skin block. Using a retrieval-augmented system aligned to block objectives, the study will evaluate student engagement, accuracy, and learning impact.

Feasibility of WBA-based approach to teaching and assessing communication skills within clerkships using VitalTalk methodology

This project develops and integrates a serious illness communication curriculum into four clerkships in Missoula, combining faculty training in the VitalTalk methodology, a student curriculum, and a novel workplace-based assessment. The study will evaluate feasibility as a foundation for expansion across additional WWAMI sites.
