Before starting your application, you can review a Sample Application Form to see the required information and materials. This is for reference only—all applications must be submitted through the official online form.
Faculty with a passion for education are encouraged to apply to the TSP. Scholars accepted to the Program devote one morning a week for an academic year to scholarly discussion and reflection on leadership, educational scholarship, and professional development. Scholars work with faculty mentors to plan and conduct interactive teaching sessions on topics of interest and to complete a scholarly project in health professions education suitable for publication.
To participate in the program, scholars must obtain financial support from their sponsor (department chair, dean, division head, or supervisor) and approved release time on Tuesday mornings for program sessions and research projects. A letter of support from the department chair, a current CV and a completed online application are required.
In light of the importance of the Teaching Scholars Program to our core educational mission, we are able to offer reduced tuition this year while departments contend with the financial uncertainty that is occurring during the application period. This year, Teaching Scholars’ tuition is reduced to $1,500 per person.
