Large group teaching remains a foundational instructional strategy in medical education despite the limitations of traditional lectures. Introducing flexibility for different learning styles and creating space for discussion within a large group enhances the educational experience and makes learning more durable. This session will focus on educational strategies in the large group setting to increase learner engagement including effective use of slides and audience response systems, large group discussion facilitation, and tips to optimize your delivery. Participants should come prepared to discuss a talk/lecture they are hoping to improve through strategies learned during this session.
