Associate Professor, Pediatric Palliative Care
Amy Trowbridge, MD (she/her) is an Associate Professor and Attending Physician on the Pediatric Palliative Care Team at Seattle Children’s Hospital. She is also Co-Director of the <a href="https://pctc.uw.edu/">UW Palliative Care Training Center</a> and Founder and Director of PedsTalk, the Department of Pediatrics’ communication training program. Her teaching philosophy mirrors her approach to patient and family communication: she believes we are most effective as educators when lead with curiosity, stay grounded in our humility, and center compassion and respect. Her specific education-related interests are in communication, learner engagement, and inclusive teaching practices.
