This year, the University of Washington School of Medicine is hosting the Western Group on Educational Affairs (WGEA) meeting March 28-31, 2020 at the Asilomar Conference Center in Pacific Grove, CA. CLIME is making funding available to faculty, staff and students who want to showcase their education scholarship at this regional AAMC meeting.
Asilomar is a stunningly beautiful venue and the meeting promises to be exciting, with the theme: “Finding Common Ground: Attune, Affirm, Advance.” Keynote speakers include UW’s own Suzanne Allen, MD, MPH and Belinda Fu, MD, as well as Clarence Braddock, MD, currently vice dean at David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and a former UWSOM faculty member.
Faculty, staff, residents, and students wishing to receive funding will need to complete 2 steps:
Complete google form https://forms.gle/9LfUsBwZj3f1fs1N9 explaining in 250 words why attending the WGEA is important for your academic growth and development.
Send a copy of the proposal you are submitting to WGEA for a session/presentation in the above google form – along with proof of your submission.
CLIME has limited funding to cover registration costs. We will place priority for scholarships to submissions that respond to the conference themes.
