WWAMI: Celebrating the Past and Imagining the Future

Over fifty years ago, the University of Washington School of Medicine launched a great experiment in decentralized medical education by launching the WWAMI program. The transition of UW SOM leadership offers an opportunity for reflection: has WWAMI succeeded in meeting the goals of its founders? What have we learned from the WWAMI experiment?

Join us for CLIME Grand Rounds on May 30th, featuring UW Vice Dean for Academic, Rural & Regional Affairs Suzanne Allen, & CEO of UW Medicine, Dean of the School of Medicine Tim Dellit, MD. In a conversation moderated by Trish Kritek, Vice Dean for Faculty Affairs, Dr. Allen and Dr. Dellit will look back on the history of the WWAMI regional education program and share their thoughts on the WWAMI program’s future.
