The Jazz of Educational Design: Maximizing the Power of the Arts in Medical Education

In this session, we will have an initial experience that uses jazz music to create a faculty development experience in education (developing one’s “voice” as a teacher). Next, we will explore the underlying design of the experience and discuss principles for maximizing the power of the arts and humanities for teaching medical subjects.
