2021 CLIME Together Symposium

The University of Washington (UW) Center for Leadership and Innovation in Medical Education (CLIME) invites all health sciences educators to participate in its 6th annual CLIME Together Symposium for Excellence in Health Professions Education on Friday, June 11, 2021 via Zoom.

Come meet other members of UW’s vibrant community of educators and participate in a half-day of activities devoted to sharing educational innovations and scholarship. Let’s celebrate our education community and its accomplishments together!


What is the CLIME Together Symposium?

The annual CLIME Together Symposium is a half-day of learning and community engagement. Sessions are designed to celebrate UW’s vibrant community of health educators and provide a forum for disseminating education scholarship. International thought leaders in health professions education are invited to kick off the event. There is no cost to attend. Additional details about the schedule, other symposium sessions will be sent closer to the event date.

2021 Plenary Speaker: Esther Choo, MD, MPH

We are grateful that Dr. Choo graciously agreed to rescheduled her visit from last year’s cancelled symposium.

Esther Choo, MD, MPH is an Associate Professor in the Center for Policy and Research in Emergency Medicine at Oregon Health & Science University. She is a practicing physician and NIH-funded investigator, with expertise in drug policy, injury, and gender disparities in healthcare. She is co founder of Equity Quotient, a company that provides metrics of healthcare culture. She is a founding member and strategic lead for TIME’S UP Healthcare, an initiative of the TIME’SUP Foundation, which advocates for safety and equity in the healthcare workforce. Her published work on gender inequity and sexual harassment in healthcare includes pieces in the New England Journal of Medicine, The British Medical Journal, and Harvard Business Review, and she writes a regular column for The Lancet focused on health inequities.
