Collaborate With Other CLIME Members

CLIME works to intentionally create spaces and opportunities for our members, as well as all interested faculty, to network across departments and the region and explore collaboration. Our goal is to continually build a community of practice of educators throughout WWAMI. We do this through monthly work-in-progress sessions, the longitudinal Medical Education Research Certificate (MERC) workshop series, the education in medicine lecture series, sponsorship of ongoing Faculty Learning Communities, and through ongoing referral and connecting of individuals with shared interests.

WORK-IN-PROGRESS SESSIONS

Every month we hold work-in-progress (WIP) sessions to provide a safe environment for scholars from many different departments and hospitals across UW to present their work at any stage of development, receive feedback and create scholarly momentum.

BIANNUAL MEDICAL EDUCATION RESEARCH CERTIFICATE (MERC) PROGRAM

Every year we offer the biannual Medical Education Research Certificate (MERC) program. CLIME members who participate receive a MERC certificate upon completion. Each MERC workshop has dedicated time for participants to network and collaborate on their projects.

FACULTY LEARNING COMMUNITIES

We host ongoing Faculty Learning Communities that allow for bi-weekly informal meetings over the course of a seven week period to explore areas of interest in both the theory and practice of teaching in the health sciences.

ONGOING REFERRAL & CONNECTIONS

We continually connect faculty members with mutual interests in teaching and educational scholarship who would not otherwise have had a forum in which to connect.
